At HostMilano 2025, the Gimoka Group revealed a new generation of capsules compatible with the Dolce Gusto® system that greatly simplifies the separated disposal of used capsules. The innovation is based on the “Op&Out” technology developed by Guala Dispensing FP, one of the main suppliers of the Gimoka Group.

It is universally known that the disposal of the current Dolce Gusto® system capsules presents considerable critical problems, due to their multi-material composition and the difficulty of separating the spent coffee from the capsule. The solution developed by Guala Dispensing FP and adopted by the Gimoka Group overcomes these obstacles in providing an innovative opening system that makes them easily to empty, allowing the organic waste to be separated from the all-plastic shell in a simple and intuitive way.

With this innovation, the Gimoka Group confirms its skill in recognising the most promising innovations and quickly transforming them into concrete alternatives for its customers. In fact, it is the first operator in the sector to have already completed all test phases for processing and packaging these capsules, so they may be available as early as early 2026 for large-scale retail partners.
