OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS: GRUPPO GIMOKA ACHIEVES THE ISO 45001 STANDARD

The certification, the culmination of a voluntary and multi-year auditing process, fortifies the Group’s ESG strategy and cements its standing as a reliable, structurally sound industrial partner on the global stage.

Gruppo Gimoka reinforces its strategic ESG roadmap, announcing the acquisition of the international ISO 45001 Certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. This accreditation, awarded by Bureau Veritas Italia following a rigorous auditing procedure, attests to the efficacy and reliability of the implemented management processes, alongside the strict compliance of the Andalo Valtellino and Delebio production facilities.

The ISO 45001 standard represents a further cornerstone in realising the company’s sustainability strategy, yielding positive implications not merely for its workforce, but equally for the end consumer, clientele, and both commercial and industrial partners. This achievement has enabled the consolidation of a comprehensive and highly structured ESG platform, which currently serves as a distinct competitive advantage in global markets. Indeed, the newly acquired ISO 45001 complements the ISO 14001 environmental certification secured in 2024 and the UNI/PdR 125:2022 on Gender Equality attained in 2025. Consequently, it affords key accounts and the large-scale retail sector the assurance of a supply chain that is not only highly efficient but ethically governed and unequivocally aligned with the most stringent international prerequisites for worker protection.

For an enterprise such as Gruppo Gimoka, fundamentally orientated towards Co-packing and Private Label business models, guaranteeing a supply chain that is meticulously controlled – not exclusively in terms of quality, but significantly regarding sustainability, with a paramount focus on occupational safety – constitutes an essential prerequisite for operating on an international scale.

This certification provides commercial partners with the assurance of a manufacturing ecosystem meticulously structured to satisfy the most rigorous compliance criteria, thereby assisting clients in fulfilling their own sustainability objectives.

We have dedicated over two years to the certification of our Safety Management System, seamlessly integrated with Environmental, Ethical, and Quality parameters,” elucidates Giuseppe Attinà, HSE & Sustainability Manager at Gruppo Gimoka. “The management model adopted transcends the mere monitoring of manufacturing processes across our principal facilities; it empowers us to continually and increasingly foster a culture of safety across all echelons of the business. We achieve this through the continuous mapping of processes, bespoke training programmes, the active engagement of personnel in identifying and executing optimal daily safety practices, and an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement”.

With this latest milestone, Gruppo Gimoka reiterates its core vocation: to harmonise unparalleled production efficiency with a thoroughly sustainable development paradigm, placing process reliability and the enhancement of human capital at its very centre.
